LAST CALL: FILE YOUR H-1B VISA PETITION NOW-IT’S NOT TOO LATE!
The United States Citizenship & Immigration Services will begin accepting H-1B petitions subject to the fiscal year 2018 cap on Monday, April 3, 2017 – only 2 short weeks away! USCIS has indicated that all cap-subject H-1B petitions filed before April 3, 2017, for the Fiscal Year 2018 cap will be rejected.
H-1B visas currently have a cap of 65,000 per fiscal year, and 20,000 additional visas for beneficiaries with a U.S. master’s degree or higher. Additionally, USCIS recently announced an increase in filing fees where petitioners no longer have 14 days to correct a dishonored payment, as well as a six-month suspension of premium processing for all H-1B petitions starting April 3, 2017. Therefore, the time to start your H-1B visa petition is now or you will be out of the running until next year!
