Immigrants with Temporary Protected Status will be allowed to legally remain in the United States after the Department of Homeland Security complied with a federal court’s order to continue the program. In early October, a federal court judge in California order a halt to the Trump administration’s plan to not renew TPS for thousands of holders. However, the DHS has only agreed to comply with this court order while the agency appeals the order.
